Munis (Arabic: مونس) appears as a tall man having only one eye, with the cloven feet of a mule. A black serpent is entwined around him. He resides in lonesome graves and desecrated burial grounds. When he attacks his victims he changes his appearance to that of a black viper. He causes painful death like that of one dying of a venomous snake bite.

Misceláneo de Salomón[]

Then the second Tayleq (الطليق), named Munis, entered before Sulaiman, peace be upon him, in the form of a one-eyed man with mule feet. Around his height was entwined a serpent with its head at his front and its tail at his back. Sulaiman said to him "What is your corruption? Where is your residence?" Munis said, "I reside in common graves. My corruption is that if I seize a person, I choke him without injuring him; then I leave him senseless, then leap on him in the image of a viper." Fiqitush said, "The medicine for this, O prophet of Allah, is the bile of a black snake or the urine of the boy for him to sniff if he is taken by the affliction. Also, write for him these names on a string made of three colors: red, yellow, and green. If you can't find the urine of a boy, then use a black bull. He should sniff it and he will be cured by permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorified. This is what is written for him: 'Ahya (اهيا) Ahya Ahya Sherahya (شراهيا), Asbaot (اصباوت), Al Shedai (الشداي), Adoni (ادوني), Alohim (الوهيم), Alohim, Alohim, Shala (شلا), Shala, Shala, Sherahya, Hya (هيا), Hya, Barhya (برهيا), Barahya (براهيا), Sabaot (صباوت), Sabaot, Yahim (يهيم), Shim'im (شيمعيم), Selselim (سلسليم), Selislim (سليسليم), O Lord shield us from calamities. O most merciful of the merciful.' Also write these names for it: 'the Supreme, the Glorious, the Generous.' Make three spreads for him and the sick one should drink them and he will be cured by permission of Allah, Exalted and Glorified. They are thus: 'By permission of Allah, the Exalted, no Lord but Him. Blessed is our Lord and Exalted. There is no Lord but Him, the One, the Subduer.'"
