Jinn Wikia

Ar-Ruah (Arabic: الرواح) appears as a tall man with a horses head, having large wings upon his feet. In his left hand he carries a large iron bar. He is the trade master among the Dunn. He inhabits the coastline of all seas. When he attacks his victims he causes them to rip off all clothing until nothing remains. When the new moon is in phase, he causes extreme melancholy and obsession with the dead until the victim is drawn down and joins them.

Misceláneo de Salomón[]

Then the twenty-eighth Tayleq (الطليق), named ar-Ruah, entered. He was the carpenter that was below the throne of Sulaiman, peace be upon him, and the trade master of the jinn. His appearance was in the form of a man with wings to the bottom of his feet. His head was the head of a horse and in his hand was an iron bar. Sulaiman, peace be upon him said to him, "What is your corruption? Where is your residence?" He said, "I reside on the coasts of seas. My corruption is that if I take a person, I don't leave him with a garment upon him that he doesn't tear off. Also, on the new moon I take him with tears and preoccupation with graves." Fiqitush said, "The medicine for this, O prophet of Allah, is the bile of a small viper to be sniffed by him. It shall be his curse by permission of Allah. Write for him these names: 'Bahmela'a (بهملع), B'el'el'elheh (بعلعلعلهح), Bateltam (بطلطم), Batelkam (بطلكم), B'amkaham (بعمكهم), Akelkah (اكلكه), Hamik (حميك), Basemlemiti'a (بسملميطيع), Ti'a (طيع), B'atefef-lelefot (بعطففللفط), answer me, O Marlash (مرلاش), by Allah's glory through them. Menrosh (منروش), Merhosh (مرهوش), Kendesh (كندش), the kings glanced, Akshah (اكشح), Dehrilam (دهريلام), draw this now, be charged by Allah's glory, be charged by the Light of Allah's face. There is no strength and no power but through Allah, the Most High and Supreme. May the blessings of Allah be on Muhammad and his family.'"
