My dad told me an interesting thing in Quran, that God refers to him as Iblis when he is tempting himself and demon/shaytan when he is tempting others, this is really interesting, but should we add it to his page or is it irrelevant?
I believe it is more of a matter of etymology. Iblis is meant to mean despairing of Allah's mercy. Shaytan is the same word as Satan which is to mean an adversary or enemy.
